Advising

Academic mentoring: you write, we guide

Problem, aims, design. You explain the method. Mentoring, not a chapter in your name.

Desk with sources and a thesis outline

What it covers

Working sessions on your project, not a chapter delivered in your name.

  • Topic and question
  • Fit between aims, method and scope
  • A realistic milestone calendar
  • Critical reading of what you already produced

What you still own

Author decisions: the cut, the sources you use, the data you collect and the text you file.

Clarity on the question, method and calendar

Mentoring helps when the problem is not polishing prose, but the question, the method, the cut or the calendar. You work in the US, Europe or another programme outside LATAM, write in Spanish, Portuguese or English, and can defend what you sign. We do not replace your supervisor.

If the block is «I do not know what I am asking», there is mentoring. You write the assessed work; we guide. Detail on /integridad.

How a mentoring round runs

After the diagnostic, the scope sets a number of sessions or rounds on your deliverables: project, framework, method, a chapter. Each round starts from what you send. We return questions, gaps and a plan for the next piece. You write.

Your programme sets the pace. If you disappear for two months, the scope does not stretch on its own. Fifty percent up front reserves the work; the remaining 50 percent is due when the agreed rounds close, not when the committee votes.

Mentoring deliverables

Typically: a chapter outline with dependencies; comments on the question, hypotheses or objectives; a method reading; a realistic calendar against your institutional deadline. All in writing, on your material.

Not a deliverable: a finished thesis, invented data, a letter to coordination asking for an extension in your name, or a sign-off that replaces your supervisor.

  • Outline and calendar
  • Method comments on your design
  • Rounds on chapters you write

Method and manuals, without mixing the crafts

Mentoring may note that your programme uses APA 7 or ABNT; applying citations in detail is the style or editing package. We do not sell a degree combo.

Market: programmes, not one mould

A Spanish TFM is not a US master’s thesis and not a British viva. That is why the scope is written after we see you. Anyone working under ABNT uses tesispro.lat.

You write

Mentoring guides the cut and the method. If in a round you ask us to «just leave it drafted» for upload, we stop and point to /integridad.

What the rounds actually discuss

In a master’s, the typical cut is a question that is too wide or a method that cannot carry the claim. In a doctorate, the gap is often the contribution against what is already published. Mentoring names those gaps on your text.

In a US PhD the committee defence and electronic deposit weigh differently from a Spanish tribunal. We quote phases: project, framework, method, chapters.

We can point to bibliographic gaps and how to structure what you have already read. Each round’s deliverable is written down.

Scope, limits, and how the quote works

If you cannot say in two sentences what you ask and with what design, the first round produces the cut, not pages.

The calendar is built backwards from the institutional date, with room for the committee and your supervisor. TesisPro does not sign minutes or ask for extensions in your name.

Mentoring questions

Do you replace my supervisor?

No. The supervisor and the committee belong to your institution.

Can I send only loose ideas?

Yes at the start. The scope will soon require a text of yours.

Is there a «complete» doctoral package?

No. We quote phases.
