Service terms

1. Object

The service may include mentoring, editing, style-manual application, defense preparation and manuscript writing for publication, as set out in the written scope accepted after the diagnostic.

2. Non-object

The contract does not cover producing assessed work (thesis, TCC, dissertation or equivalent) for the client to submit as their own.

3. Reference material

If reference material is commissioned, it is study material. The client declares that any later use will follow their institution’s rules. Submitting it unchanged as assessed work is outside the contract.

4. Payment for work milestones

For advising and for manuscripts, fees are paid for work: 50 % on commissioning or accepting the scope, 50 % on delivering the agreed deliverable. That is a milestone, not a result guarantee. The second tranche is not conditioned on the viva, the grade, the degree, or “thesis acceptance” / “TCC approved”.

5. Publication: optional accept tranche

Only for journal manuscripts may a different plan be agreed in writing: tranche 1 on delivery of the submission-ready manuscript (work performed, non-refundable); tranche 2 only if there is acceptance or acceptance with minor revisions on the written journal list. The editor decides. There is no acceptance guarantee. CRediT matrix and GPP disclosure.

6. No result guarantee

No grade, degree, impact factor or indexing is guaranteed.

7. Governing law

Governing law: Republic of Paraguay. Mandatory consumer rights in the country of residence are not contracted away.
