Four ICMJE criteria
All four must be met to be listed as an author.
- Substantial contribution to design, data or interpretation
- Drafting or critical revision of intellectual content
- Approval of the version to be submitted
- Agreement to be accountable for all parts

CRediT
The role matrix (conceptualization, analysis, writing, and so on) accompanies the manuscript when the contract is for a paper.
